Blistering Heat Wave and 112 degree-plus temperatures
for MarketFest 3. 
Hot temperatures for MarketFest, have through the
years - either had an effect on attendance or no effect
at all. 
The blistering heat this time, was over the limit.  A large
number or at least a 'noticeable' number of patrons choose
to sit out the Heat Spell.
 

And those folks who did come on out, were folks that
knew where the shade was, i.e., where to sit or locate.
With plenty of mature shade trees in Redding's Library
Park, one could actually be relatively comfortable, if
one choose to be. And ice cream, cold drinks, beer
and vintage wine was on hand to chill out those so
interested.

The vendors on MarketFest's Farmers Market Row,
still enjoyed a vast number of healthy minded folks,
buying the farm fresh sweet, crisp, delicious
organic fruits and vegetables.

On the entertainment bill tonight: 
Chicago Afro Beat Project,
a group of good looking 20'ish guys, who
laid down some Energetic Global Grooves.
Based in Chicago, this hardy band of brothers
was on a two week musical Bus tour of the West
Coast as well as elsewhere.
 

As is per the norm for any MarketFest, we have
volunteer/guest Bar Tenders for the Beer and
Wine Booth. 

Today, it was the 'off duty' Redding
Firefighters, who did an admirable job!
