First Day of Summer couples-up with the first MarketFest
of the Summer '07 Season.

The temperature was a delicious 96 degrees as everyone's
favorite MarketFest MC Dan Kupsky

introduced the musical
troop originally from Ghana, West Africa  - Kusun Ensemble.
Tonight's show was sponsored by DRBA (Downtown Redding
 Business Association).
One lone drum opened the first set, to be joined by four
more authentic African Ox Skinned drums.
Soon, two couples of dancers rushed out from stage left
and wildly danced, gyrated, jumped and tumbled to the powerful
soulful drum beat and vocals.
Honored the World over, the Kusun Ensemble scheduled this
Redding concert as part of their Summer tour.
